Liquor Update:
This change applies to the following licences:
- Liquor Primary
- Food Primary
- Manufacturer
Temporary Expanded Service Area (TESA) authorizations will extend to December 31, 2024. The new expiry date be reflected in section 109.5 of the Liquor Control and Licensing Regulation.
Local governments and First Nations have until March 20, 2023 to raise concerns about TESAs in their jurisdiction. Licensing staff work with local authorities and licensees to resolve concerns about TESAs.
If the local authorities have no concerns, the TESA authorizations will extend to December 31, 2024. The Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB) will reissue authorization letters with the new expiry date. Licensees do not need to apply for extension and there is no cost.
